| I recently discovered GKrellm, and I like it so far, but there is one small promlem I'm currently having. I would like to prevent gkrellm from becoming minimized when I press the minimize all button, so I don't have to keep it in the taskbar, keep it nice and clear. Currently, it minimizes, and if I don't keep it in the taskbar, I have no way of bringing it back up. Essentially, I would like it to behave like a gnome panel. Is there anyway of doing this? I am currently using Gnome 2.4 on Slackware 9.1, and gkrellm 2.1.21. |

But if you change to something like blackbox or fluxbox, it would be possible. "gkrellm -w" starts gkrellm inside the slit (google for it or check fluxbox.org, they explain what the slit is). It's also possible to change the default WM in gnome. But IMHO Nautilus have a strange behavior with *box. It could be a little tricky to get everything work the way you want. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQE/sznV+Adhk34E128RAtgoAKDwTgG+A4gpiR2pN3cgG2LNJYB4Iw CfdSoP naMiUS0V5OsTKXXbGVEnFWQ= =bino -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

(it shows up on the right side of the screen, and I want it on the left edge with my other misc stuff) |

Maybe it'll play nicer with Gnome? It does adhere to all the standards. Be warned, it's still lacking feature-wise. - -- Bartosz Oudekerk Play Rogue, visit exotic locations, meet strange creatures and kill them. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/s/Xf256ZyNYAOpkRAncXAKCEuhTjwiGerIE1tabSRDFHIcr6UwCd FuF5 S4jNNVsAT/OQ1H0hFK6zFaE= =Drcr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
