Default FAQ moderator(s!)

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hi folks,

I recently added a second moderator to the alt.os.linux.slackware
FAQ-O-Matic located at the URL in my .sig. That poor soul can announce
himself if he wishes, but I am wondering if there are one or two other
people interested in helping out. If you do have interest in becoming a
moderator, please post to this thread, and (I hope) people can very
unofficially endorse one or more people to become moderators.

What's involved? Basically, as much as you want, but I hope you'll be
at least somewhat on the ball with monitoring content, especially if
comments about the FAQ are posted here, or if someone posts a new item
to the User Contributed areas. Oh, and you can't be an asshole
(basically defined as being in my scorefile--if you don't like it, start
your own damn FAQ).

There is nothing officially related to alt.os.linux.slackware that
has anything to do with you.

Can you please explain why you have to continue to insult readers
with pgp when there is no earthly reason to put pgp in any of your
postings?

cordially, as always,

Christmas... no, wait... Winter Break is coming up here in a week and a
half or so. I'll have oodles of free time and would love to help out,if
you want me. :-)

I have moderator experience elsewhere with other things... message board
stuff on a giant nasty corporation, chat stuff on that same company's
services and miscellaneous stuff elsewhere.

I'll be willing to help out. Bear in mind, though, that I don't read
every article in this group (I mentally filter on 'Subject:', usually).

I recommend Mark.

AthlonRob would be a particularly good choice.

I would also be glad to help after 19dec2003. I am on a hot project
until then and won't have time to even read alt.os.linux.slackware.

I not sure but I think I was the one who asked for a "kind soul."

I'll be glad to help.

How do I help?

Although you seem to have had many volunteers to choose from already, I
could probably find some time to help out. Most of that time would be
during weekends though. I guess you'll be able to pick moderators at
your leisure.

Well, I think either AC or rm once said I'm an asshole, so I guess
that's it for me ;-)

Perhaps you would have more time if you dropped pgp from your
postings? There is no reason for you to use pgp on any of the
postings you have made so far.
