Default Multiple Net-Config for Slackware 9.1

Hello!

I've got Slackware 9.1 on an hp omnibook xe4500 and i use it on several
different networks. I wonder what's the easiest way to select a network
environment for eth0 (probably on bootup, but cool would also when
already turned on.. ex: home/school/other) and let some script (or such)
do the following:

*) change the "hosts" file to suit the environment (may need other
"hosts" for at home than i need for school)
*) change mozilla proxy settings (turn off at home, turn on at school)
*) change ip, subnet and such...
*) use different smb mounts in fstab (i guess this is not that much needed)
*) write the current environment to a file, so i could possibly access
this from another shell script and use the data

i guess i will write the scripts used to do these things myself, just
need some hints if there is already such a script or program for
slackware 9.1 or best ways to do these things...

thanks for you answers!

greetings,
thomas
