| Hello, My slackbox seems to download isos slower using bittorrent than with ftp. My download method is via a 56Kb/s Modem. Changing the max_upload_rate to 4 or 3 makes no difference to the download rate. Is this to be expected when downloading via a modem? Slackbox runs Slackware 9.0 with Bittorrent loaded into the correct python path. Sorry about OE posting but I cannot slack from the office. -- Regards Martin Hughes Linux User #283064 Blessed are those who expect nothing; for they shall not be disappointed. |

Back to tried and trusted ftp again :-) . When Slack 9.1 came out the FTP servers were kind of full yet I was able to get Slack via BitTorrent at 50KB a second. Expect that when 9.2(?) comes out, that bittorrent will be the way to go. Styvaen. |
