Default Swaret downgrades...

Ciao!,

Swaret 1.6.0-5 downgrades some packages instead of upgrading them!

Here is what I get:

root@paolino:/home/vittorio# swaret --upgrade
swaret 1.6.0-5

=> Creating EXCLUDE List..... DONE!

Listing all available Packages...
New: cvs-1.11.6-i486-1 (836 kB) - Installed: cvs-1.11.10-i486-1
New: lftp-2.6.7-i486-1 (479 kB) - Installed: lftp-2.6.10-i486-1

Did you have similiar problems?

My cpu is AMD.
ciao

It can be simply because of a bug :

by alphabetical sort : cvs-1.11.6... is greater than cvs-1.11.1....

in fact I've sent an email to swaret's people to tell them about that
(probably)bug.
However I've got that problem only on my AMD machine, not on the Intel one.

I think it's a known 'bug'. Read the Swaret forum at
http://forum.swaret.org.

Beat this:
% j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1 (libawt.so) requires at least j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1!
% j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1 (libjava.so) requires at least j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1!
% j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1 (libmlib_image.so) requires at least
j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1!
% j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1 (libmlib_image.so) requires at least
j2re-1.4.0_01-i586-1!

Reminds me of the first (and only) time I tried to get a debian system up
and running. There was some package required by LyX (an X ap), which
conflicted with xfree itself. No thant you. Swaret is usefull for
checking out what new packages may be out there, but I'll install them
myself and manage my own deps.
