'Cause Quicken uses IE for its displays -- who cares? You'll never use
the thing for internet access.

BTW, you can download a full-blown trial version, pay for it if you like it.

You don't have to install it to use Quicken, but Quicken does use it or
Mozilla for web stuff. I have also had to use it on occassion for some
sites. It also is helpful for some music sites. The point is it is not
required but could come in handy.

If you want to use Quicken or IE your experience will be GREATLY
enhanced if you dualboot into windoze 2000. Crossover Office is
silly.

To me it is silly to dual boot just to use one or two programs.

True enough. You should stick with the OS that allows you to run
all the programs you need. That would be windoze in this case.

I guess you are right --if those were the only programs I needed. The
beauty of it all is I don't NEED windoze to do everything. Heard of
choice? Either way, this debate does not change either of our positions
or opinions, so what is the point? Anyway, I am done with the matter.

Yes but you don't have any linux programs that aren't replaceable
with windoze versions. And yet you have windoze programs that are
not replaceable with linux versions. What this means is that you
should stick with windoze. It makes a better workstation anyway.
Remember, you don't pick an operating system for its own sake
unless you're a moron. You pick the os that does the best job for
you.

If you're done with the matter then we get the last word.

The last time I tried MD, it would not print with Slack 9.1 using CUPS. I
wrote the company and they acknowledged that there is a problem. I don't
know if they have fixed it. Does it print for you?

Rich, can you give me a link for this software?
(my google searches keep coming up empty.)
Thanx!
