Default Where does slackware 9.1 set the path and $QTDIR$ and $KDEDIR$ by default?

I don't have a .profile or .bash_profile and those variables are the same
for each user. I've looked in the rc.S, rc.M, etc and I see the path
getting set early on but its real short so its getting appended somewhere
else. I also can't find where the $QTDIR$ and $KDEDIR$ are getting set.
