| I would like to be able to move a window, by dragging, from one desktop to another. I thought that this was set in: Control Center->Desktop->Window Behavior But I am unable to find how to setup for this. Can someone point me in the right direction? TIA |

Other distros have quirks. Slackware's just pure Linux. |

This is nonsense. This ng is for any topic that is of interest to users of slackware; hence, questions on wm topicis are right on target. Ignore Joost Kremers. Joost offered sound advice: "Be specific." It does depend on the window manager. Without that information, any answer is just a wild guess. Joost did not complain that the post was off topic. That was just you putting words in his mouth. Your attack was gratuitous and rather stupid, "as always." I've noticed, with no little surprise, that you've actually attempted to offer substantive help recently. That's good, I guess, but it could lead newbies in the group to the mistaken belief that you're human and not just a troll-bot. -- Old Man |

And since Joost Kremers doesn't use KDE, why on earth was he answering the question? Why are _you_ answering the question? If you want to kiss Joost Kremers' ass please take it to email. NOTE to OP: Keith Keller and Joost Kremers are two of the rudest posters who troll this newsgroup. Of course you've seen that for yourself. Well... KDE users may be expected to know that, but I would wager most people in alt.os.linux.slackware don't use KDE. I know I don't. Now, if we went on the assumption everybody knew Control Center-> Desktop -> Windows Behavior was in KDE... how, exactly, do we know it isn't in gnome, too? Or in OpenBox3? Or in WindowMaker? Or in Xfce? -- Rob | If not safe, Email and Jabber: | one can never be free. athlonrob at axpr dot net | -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE//6fLhm6KEoOOAe0RArN6AKDA0d9wF6FBlNm5h6aBUZAmkNxVgwC gmk4J 9K+fvcFA9zFc+k0n5bD1xvg= =Et3N -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
