Hi Amy,

I didn't notice if you mentioned the type of wheel mouse you have, but
this is what I use and you may find it of value.

The following information is based on the use of a Logitech cordless mouse.

Section "InputDevice"

# Identifier and driver

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

The next section is for the Logitech cordless keyboard

Section "InputDevice"

Identifier "Keyboard1"
Driver "Keyboard"
Option "XkbKeyCodes" "xfree86"
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
