| Hello I have a RAID0 array on my SIL3112 controller. Linux installed perfectly and everything was looking good until Lilo decided to make trouble. As far as I can read from the documentation and other sources on the internet lilo and RAID0 is impossible. My question is: How do I easily dual-boot between windows and linux without the use of boot disks? Thanks Morten -- Replace .hej with .com in my e-mail prior to sending e-mail. |

It's not lilo that is the problem. But the Si3112a support. Current support if you are using kernel 2.4.2[3-5] will recognize the controller but does not support the RAID functionality. I don't know about the 2.6 series of kernels. > My question is: > How do I easily dual-boot between windows and linux without the use of boot > disks? If the windows is using raid and slack isn't? Sorry, never did figure it out the few days I had to play with one. Jim -- Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur. |

It *does* support RAID, how on earth would I be able to partitionize it without support? ;o) > > My question is: > > How do I easily dual-boot between windows and linux without the use of boot > > disks? > > If the windows is using raid and slack isn't? Sorry, never did figure it > out the few days I had to play with one. It works with 2.4.25 I've written how to install it with the slackware-current iso in a thread or two above this one. Both Windows and Linux are on the same RAID array, just different partitions :-) Regards Morten -- Replace .hej with .com in my e-mail prior to sending e-mail. |
