We all did. There was really nothing wrong with your question, only
that you are in a tight situation where time is of the essence and thus
you came across a little needy. No big deal.

Why don't you use those kernels and inird images on the Slackware
machine?

alan@carrier:~$ i$((28*28+28))

Ok.
Now all works fine. I've have copied the kernel, the initrd image and the
module directory. Sorry for the banality of the question....
:-) Tks a lot

Alan, sorry, the last question....
Because I haven't the source of the module for the fasttrack 100 could you
mail it to me? I need it because if I install a new kernel I've to recompile
it....
tks a lot.

I take it everything went smoothly with the kernel image I sent you?

Not really. At the beginning I didn't think about trying newsgroups! In
some months I stumbled onto the Slackware.com forums, but I didn't post
that many questions. Some, yes, and I still do sometimes. But the best
way to get there is to RTFM and STFW. (Emphasis on RTFM, because TFW
tends to have a lot of noise: people asking questions and not getting
answers.)

Paste "preferred_email=i$((28*28+28))@softhome.net" in at a bash
prompt, then "echo $preferred_email". As for the gmx.co.uk address, I
may or may not be getting that mail these days. The spam filter fills
quickly, and I don't get in there very often to delete it all.
