Sir, you are _not_ Guy Macon. I am. Please stop impersonating me
or I will report you to your ISP.

As long as the paychecks keep coming to me...

Stop hiding behind anonymous remailers and I will be glad to
teach you a lesson about reporting imersonators to ISPs.

It's this sort of impersonation that is the reason why people
PGP sign thier posts.

Face the facts, spammer. You spammed, you got caught, you got
reported, first by uce@ftc.org, then by me. Having spammers
engage in all sorts of childish antics when I report them is
something that I consider to be a badge of honor.

And yes, I am self taught. It says so right on my resume.
My twenty years of experience and track record of sucessful
designs says that I am an engineer better than any scrap of
paper could ever do. You probably have smething that I
designed somewher in your house.

The owners of anon remailers usually take a dim view of such bad
behaviour. Try contacting them.
If a message is (or claims to be) from you then you are entitled
to cancel or superceed it.
Cancelbots should minimise colateral damage.

This particular anon remailer and it's associated mail2news gateway
allows spamming and ignores abuse reports. That's why the spammer
picked it. This should not be considered a reflection on all of
the fine anonymous remailer operators who don't harbor spammers.

Over 500 posts per month consisting of nothing more than a repeated
phrase such as "pgp trash troll delete" in reply to any PGP signed
post is a clear case of spamming. I have no problem with the spammer
complaining about PGP, but I (and everyone else who uses Usenet) have
a big problem with him spamming in order to make his point. The
personal attacks and crude foreries just make the spammer look like
the net-kook that he is.

There are ways and means of dealing with such sites, which I would
not post to an open group.

We must assume that most users are nice guys and not teach them how
to be a real Bastard.

But he uses different remailers and different mail2news gateways.

Why don't you just put him in a killfile and shut up about it. As
long as you keep whining about trolls and spammers you will attract
trolls and spammers.

I think you like being a "victim." It gives you something to whine
about.

cordially, as always,

O.K. I will call your bluff, stop complaining about the spammer,
(The ISP sending the spam ignores complaints anyway) and will
stop advising people to not respond to trolls (if they haven't
gotten the message by now they never will). I predict that the
unskilled forgeries will continue to boost my search engine ratings,
but if they stop I will publicly acknowledge that you were correct.

BTW, you always complain when you respond to someone who uses PGP,
so why don't you compliment when you respond to someone who doesn't?

Since I started reading this group a week ago, I've been, post by post,
spoon fed your resume, both by you and others. This group is about
Slackware. It has nothing to do with whether or not you've undergone
traditional education.

Also, you seem to brag about yourself often. What employer seeks that?

On newsgroups, Net etiquette ("Netiquette") allows a signature of
no more than 4 lines and no more than 79 characters, with the start
of the signature marked with "-- " (hyphen, hyphen, space.) on a line
by itself.

Please search for the word "signature" on the following webpages:

http://www.catb.org/~esr/jargon/html...ary-limit.html
http://www.jafsoft.com/misc/course/c...#Section_6.4.2
http://www.cs.indiana.edu/docproject...0_6.html#SEC45
http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1855.html
http://www.fau.edu/netiquette/net/signat.txt
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/primer/part1/

You may also wish to consider getting a proper newsreader that doesn't
display properly delimited signatures.

>both by you and others.

I can't control what others post.

>This group is about Slackware. It has nothing to do with whether

You are correct. The original comment was off-topic and I
really shouldn't have replied to it.

>Also, you seem to brag about yourself often. What employer seeks that?

This group is about Slackware. It has nothing to do with whether
or not I brag about myself. Please follow your own advice about
not posting on topics that have nothing to do with Slackware.

To answer your question (although I really shouldn't) The employers
who seek me are those who have "impossible" engineering projects
and are willing to pay top dollar for the very best engineers.
It's O.K. to brag if you really are good.
