| I just installed Slackware 9.1 on my desktop and I'm a newbie to slackware. I installed my favorite solitaire game pysol. I got it to work after a little fiddling with it but I can't get the sound server to work. Has anyone managed to install pysol with the sound server? |

Where did you install pysol itself? What versions did you install? And thanks. |

I simply can't get it to compile. I run ../configure and then make and it comes up with a bunch of errors. I don't know what I'm doing wrong... |

In my opinion, it is the easiest one on my eyes. After looking closer at the error messages I noticed that it was looking for smpeg which wasn't installed. I downloaded and installed that and then the sound server compiled. One little glitch happens when I configure the sound properties, pysol crashes when I close the dialog box. But when I restart it the properties are changed, so I can live with it. When I had installed pysol under Fedora Core, the sound effects were delayed about a second or more. A card would be dealt out and a second later I'd hear the sound effect. It bothered me so much I had to turn off the sound effects. Anyway thanks for listening to me whine... |
