To me, Slack is the last of the "small > business" distros. The others are all-vol (like Deb and Gen) or big-corp like > MDK, SuSE, etc.) > Is there a Patrick jr.? The problem with that is that with family firms, the kids often don't want to stay with the business, or in the case where there's lots of money, they drive it into the ground. I'm not real serious about this, but then this thread started out as a joke. Michael |

What are all the worries about? It might happen someday, and I will probably be mourning for a month. But hey, someone needs to fill the Grateful gap. Seems like Banjo Bob and the X-Men are up to the job Oh, well, I guess the Dead are good enough Daniel |

Think of famous orchestral conductors, who work well into their 90's. Personally, I love what I'm doing, and have no intention of retiring; but I'm one of the lucky ones - what I do for work is the same as what I'd be doing for fun anyway, so "retire" kinda doesn't even have an applicable context. So, if there's a pool, I've got $100.00 on "Never." Cheers! Rich |
