| Is there a Realplayer version available for Slackware ? After filling in the form on the Realplayer site : http://forms.real.com/real/player/unix/unix.html an RPM can be downloaded. Unfortunately this does not install on Slackware 9.1 , lots of failed dependencies, even with the --nodeps option. Can anyone help ? thanks in advance. |

Perhaps installing the dependancies would be a start ? Or using rpm2tgz and installing that way ? There also is a link to a version of RealPlayer9, which unfortunately often develops codec installation problems for users. |

The *bin* file installs ok on any version of slack. http://www.real.com/ and click on "Linux / Unix Player" at the bottom of that page. |

The file that you want to download is rp8_linux20_libc6_i386_cs2.bin make it executable and run it, that will install realplayer. I just successfully did so on my slack9.1 box. cheers Vikram |

By default it only uses the Win-32 DLL's, which do not support RealAudio cq Video. But I didn't test it either, so I may be wrong. -- ************************************************** ****************** ** Eef Hartman, Delft University of Technology, dept.
