No. Since it parses "tainted" data (over a network none the less ... )
FWIW: i don't know anything about xMule other then that it's a
peer-to-peer file shareing program however.

As you should be.
Have you tried running it under any other account?

DON'T DO IT.

Never never never never never never never never never never never never
never do anything as root if it could be done as a regular user; and only
then you would do it very very very very very very very very very very
CAREFULLY. Unless of course you like to hose your system often.

It's been said: " The one who plays in root destroys the tree".

It's a P2P app. Security? What security? These things are disasters
waiting to happen. I do suggest you take precautions.

If you wish to have it run all the time on your machine while you login
and logout of various other accounts:

1. login to machine via text console.
2. type "startx -- :2"
3. start xmule
4. now hit CTL-ALT-F[1-7] ,and you will see your usual GUI login.
Should you wish to check progress, CTL-ALT-F8 might bring up the second X
server (on :2)

Hi.
I was thinking about run it as root because i hould like to save downloads
in a FAT partition, and with a normal user don't have access to that
partition.
I change my mind and now I mount that partition with write permissions to a
specific user, other than root.

Thank you all.
