Default EPROM programmer?

Does anyone know of a good EPROM programmer for Slackware Linux?

I did a web search and could only find the Quickbyte
Junior Prommer - a product that hasn't been available
since the late 1980s.

/usr/doc/Linux-HOWTOs/Diskless-HOWTO

(Look for "Burners" and/or "Yahoo" in there.)

Been there, done that. Lots and lots of EPROM programmers that
only run under DOS or Windows. Adding "Linux" to the Yahoo
search turns up nothing.

Remember Doc Brown from the _Back to the Future_ movies? Do you
have an "impossible" engineering project that only someone like
Doc Brown can solve? My resume is at http://www.guymacon.com/
