I can reformat your harddisk, though. |

However, I *may* be getting my hands on an amd64 soon, and don't fancy recompiling *everything* from scratch! The only distros that currently seem to support the amd64 "out-of-the-box" at present are Mandrake (flaky on past experience) and Suse (Slightly odd, and questionable hardware detection on previous experience). Plus maybe Gentoo? (Unknown quantity!) Is anyone out there working on a Slack-64 variation? -- Pete christy@NOattglobalSPAM.net (make the obvious amendments to reply!) |

I try to make a slack 64, but with no success at the moment. What I start to do is to install an Gentoo 64 to have a CC able to build x86-64 binaries. I compiled some packages, need to adapt some build files, but I am unable to have a CC working ! it was compiled, but it doesn't work... If you plan to try also, I'm ok to work on this (I think I am unable to do it myself).
