Hi oldies!
Few days ago I posted that I would like to play DOS games through Linux
and got series of responses.
Listened to ALL of them, installed "dosbox" and "dosemu+freedos" and
went to play.
Disaster, the "shoot them up" games are so slow that you can sign the
bullet as it moves toward target across the screen.
Tried wolf3d and Doom1 as they use poor, by todays standards, graphics.

So admitting defeat I rebooted into DOS 7 (Windows 98SE) and world
became normal again.
It means Linux for serious matters, DOS for wasting time.

Guess what I did the same but only dosbox

Well I succeeded with my games, I played MoO until about 2 in the morning
now thats what I call wasting time

You can get doom for linux OpenGL and all :-)

Some of us don't have that luxury XP runs the MS side of my computer old 98
was too unreliable for any serious work or play

That what I meant, once you get in a game time flies by, so the reboot
into another OS is no issue.

Sorry that I cannot send on this ng a picture of ~30cm hanging tree
with WinXP CD on it.
It addorns my table as 98 does those things that I need it for.
(You should see the XP fanatics change colors seeing this =-O
