| The web page took my order for a boxed set. Got a nice plush pipe-smoking penguin, a bumper sticker and a T-shirt as well. Slackware 10.0 is the *real* OS X. All the other operating systems use old recycled ones and zeros with scuff marks, cracks, and other damage, but Slackware Linux uses only 100% extra-virgin bits. If you have ever had a zero bit crack in half and jam the pipeline in your Xeon processor, you know how important it is to only use fresh bits. Also, Slackware uses a special bit lube that lets the bits slide in and out of those tiny little bit storage cells that you see in modern RAM chips. ....and you can quote me on that! -- Guy Macon, Electronics Engineer & Project Manager. http://www.guymacon.com/ |

How long was it from the time that 9.0 came out that 9.1 was released? Hard to tell from: http://www.slackware.com/changelog/stable.php?cpu=i386 or did I look in the wrong place? ANC |

Damned funny tho. -- Want to talk about sodomy and presidents? Clinton got a blowjob. Bush is giving it to EVERYONE in the ass. |

Do you think it's funny enough to be a mod quote? (I gave someone a perfect setup for a followup joke with the "bit lube" and "slide in and out" parts...) |

'Course that may or may not mean all that much depending on the going exchange rate on my opinion. > (I gave someone a perfect setup for a followup joke with the > "bit lube" and "slide in and out" parts...) > I was choking too hard to make any comebacks. -- Yeah really, if someone is going to pick a fight on Internet, THIS is no place to expect to win it. Too bad the shattered corpses of the past don't stack up for such losers to see. -Quaestor on NANAE |
