How do you know this, and in what way can the site be good for Slackware? IOW, why should we give a damn? If you can't answer, why should we bother to read another forum? A guy goes to the trouble of setting up a web site for people to help each other with regards to Slackware and all he gets is negative criticism. I for one say 'good luck' to this well-intentioned enthusiast. -- .. |

My only criticism (and this is general, not of this specific site) is that you need to register to post anything, and I generally forget passwords/leave them on another machine/lose the bit of paper I wrote it on. If you are a member of a number of sites, it becomes a real hassle to keep track of them all. I appreciate that it may cut down the amount of annoying messages, but that's not a problem until a site is very popular anyway. |

It's not as if this is a particularly sensitive password so it doesn't have to be very secure. I use the combination of a foreign word and some letters from the site's name. -- Chris Green |

Do we really need another one? What I believe needs to happen if the organisers of these sites to get together and combine their efforts, maybe one can be used more for newbies/marketing and the other users for more sysadmin/developer type stuff.
