| I'm putting slack 9.1 on an older computer to uses as a mp3player I've got slack 9.1 installed but am having troubles getting the NIC to work. during the start up process it appears that my NIC is assigned IRQ 0 when the ne2k-pci modules are loaded. there is some mention of pci=biosirq in the error message so i placed that option in append in the lilo.conf file. dhcpcd says something like ioctl : SIOCSIFFLAGS device is unavail i've set the PnP OS option in the bios to off and have tryed assign the IRQs to the PCI slots manualy and auto. the system Cyrix 133mhz AOpen AP-53 board 32 megs ram Trident video card ( which doesn't appear to recieve a IRQ) DLink DE- 528 NIC (RTL 8029 chipset) any help/ suggestions welcome |
