| Hello group I installed Slackware 10.0 from the CD set (purchased from the Slackware store) last Sunday. It works fine except that there is something strange with the OpenSSL system. With Lynx, I get messages like "Unable to use (or get) cert". With Mizolla I get errors like "SSL read timed out". Does this mean there is a problem with the OpenSSL libraries? Is there a way to test and configure them? There doesn't appear to be a kernel module in lsmod suggestive of encryption. Should there be? I'm using the adaptec bootdisk from the first CD. Thanks |

| If you are missing a OpenSSL library, check (in /var/log/packages) whether you have installed package named "openssl-solibs-0.9.7d-i486-1". If not, install it. It lives in "slackware/a/" directory of yout Slackware 10 - CD1. |

So, the Openssl libraries appear to be working. Thanks again. |
