Default How to listen to online radio?

Hi,

I've got my slack 10 up on my old laptop and finally got the sound
card works by checking out my mp3s played in xmms.

I used to be able to listen some fav songs in Yahoo! Launchcast, with
Windows Media of course, but i don't think xmms works on that way,
anyone of you able to do that??

Thanks in advance.

best regards,
Grant

I don't know anything about Windows/windows mediaplayer.
Mozilla/Galeon/XMMS works with this:
http://www.virginradio.co.uk/thestat...ten/index.html
Both mp3 and ogg.
Works with this to: http://beepmp.sourceforge.net/

They all work good, but if you want lots of radio choice try

http://www.nongnu.org/streamtuner/

It gives you hundreds of stations at your finger tips.

Streamtuner has Live365 support. Just make sure your libjavaplugin_oji.so
in your plugins dir is a symlink not a copy, if you're getting a java
error. It opened an XMMS session for me.

Will streamtuner work on Slackware 10? The GTK libraries call for
2.2+ and the libs on Slack 10 seem to be 2.0.
