Well, Hicks does make a good point.

By this time guys like Ravens, Hicks, nb, Borkowski and a handful of others
who have been around for over a year KNOW how I think the NG should
operate.... that one should not have to RTFM or do an hour's worth of
research before being allowed to post here and that there should be far less
(make that zero) aggression toward newcomers. I stand for these
ideas, and I won't be bullied into believing anything else.

These guys don't run the group and they don't make the rules. They think they
do, and they want you to think they do, but they don't.

These guys are just pissed to the teeth that someone has come on
this group with the moxie to dare stand up to them. They hate the hell out of
that.

All these guys have to do is to killfile me or just delete my postings. That's
all. Nothing more.

But you see? There IS more. These guys don't only want to enforce rules they
really ENJOY the exercise of beating up on anyone who disagrees with them.
This is great sport to them. Ravens could have ignored my post. But no, he
thinks he has carte blanche to beat the hell out of anyone he pleases. And so
does Hicks, nb and others. Their favorite sport is telling others how they
should conduct themselves on "their" newsgroup.

Why these guys have not realized that I'm here, I'm staying here, I have a
right be be here, and that even collectively they don't have the ability to
scare me off, I simply don't know.

The ONLY thing they can do, as Hicks mentioned, is to killfile or ignore me.

Why don't they do that? And miss out on the opportunity to beat someone up?

others, try to consider the source, try to consider the incentive, and try to
understand their motive.

Hicks and company are not here to serve... they are here to rule. It's not

Yes, I forgot to put you in killfile. I ignored you until now, but since you

How about showing where I've been aggressive to anybody since our last
'discussion'? Of course, during that time I've answered half a dozen

Quite the contrary, I find your aggresive attitude when offered
information or advice puzzling, but you are neither in a position, or
qualified, to ascribe motivation to myself or anyone else.

Alan doesn't reply to you and hasn't for ages, he 'plonked' you way
back, but you still see his replies to me, mine to you, Dominik's to
you and everyone else's to everyone else. If you were so desperate to
be ignored or to ignore then *you* would have 'plonked' us.

I don't killfile anyone I just make the replies that interest or concern
me, you might try to do the same, a post mentioning me may or may not
