Default SOUND (annoying problem)

i have slack 10. its the best distro ive found for what i want. and its
perfect in every way, except.. i only get sound through one channel. my
card is a crystal soundfusion cs46xx (not sure what the xx stand for.
its an integrated card on a recycled motherboard) and any other distro
ive tried (FC2, Suse, Knoppix, MandrakeMove) finds it and uses it
perfectly. ive tried reconfiguring etc/rc.d/rc.modules as suggested in
the slackware docs but this does nothing

please help. its not a fatal problem but it is annoying and i dont want
to use any other distro, slack is perfect in every other way

You can use Kmix if your running KDE, or 'aumix' to adjust the balance.
