Default kde posts slackware packages first

Heh,

Usually you have to wait until someone uploads kde packages to
linuxpackages.net before you can get a precompiled version of KDE.

Not this time:

http://download.kde.org/binarydownlo...lackware/10.0/

I usually install from source but KDE just takes tooo long to compile.
If you want to build from source:

http://developer.kde.org/build/konstruct/

you are wrong. these packages existed for kde 3.2.1 and kde 3.2.3 and before
that also I think. Just browse at
ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/?.?[.?]/contrib/Slackware/?.?
to see for yourself

I knoe this is a bit OT but while we are talking about kde, in 3.2.3 I
can no longer seem to control the desktop font foreground and background
colours. Has this been omitted or is it accessed differently now?

Configure Desktop -> Background -> Advanced Options Button

Not sure what is so "advanced". I always hated that...
