| hethoughttthave patched my kernel with superomount. I use it only for CD-ROM. this is the line from fstab none /mnt/cdrom supermount fs=auto,dev=/dev/cdrom 0 0 But the behavior is not the way i want it When i enter /mnt/cdrom supermount scans cdrom if there's a CD inside. I thought that it should mount cdrom when I insert a CD and unmount it when I eject it. Its annoying to wait every time i enter /mnt/cdrom In Windows it works just the way i want it, why can't it work in Linux ? -- Patryk |

Patched the kernel with supermount? You mean you recompiled the kernel, right? You've got to recompile. > But the behavior is not the way i want it > When i enter /mnt/cdrom supermount scans cdrom if there's a CD inside. > I thought that it should mount cdrom when I insert a CD and unmount it > when I eject it. Would you also like viruses and spyware and adware and trojan horses like Windows? Would you also like to pay $200 for Windows and then another $200+ for Office? -- A person is just about as big as the things that make them angry. |
