Default command line printing with CUPS

Hello,
How can I print on the command line with cups ?

I tried :

root@gordon:/etc/rc.d# lpr file_to_print
Status Information, attempt 1 of 3:
sending job 'root@gordon+926' to lp@localhost
connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1
cannot open connection to localhost - Connexion refusée
Make sure the remote host supports the LPD protocol
Waiting 10 seconds before retry
Status Information, attempt 2 of 3:
sending job 'root@gordon+926' to lp@localhost
connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1
cannot open connection to localhost - Connexion refusée
Make sure the remote host supports the LPD protocol
Waiting 10 seconds before retry

It works fine under X whith gimp-print driver.

Eric.

Actually I'm typing lpr-cups :-) Don't know which is the right one,
maybe both works..

Looks like you have both cups and lp installed (and lp was the latter
of the two to be installed). Either (1) reinstall cups (and uninstall
lp) or (2) make symlinks for all the lp commands (lp, lpr, lpstat,
lpq, lprm) to their cups conterparts (under /usr/bin). whichever
package gets installed last gets is symlinks set in that directory
for it's print utilities.

Cheers,
-mike
