| Hi all: I am wanting to do some dev that requires some 2.6 features. Being a Slackware man, I know about the prebuilts in test (or where ever), but my question is when I install them, do I get all the appropriate man entries, and any other things I would normally get if 2.6 were the default? Anything in particular that I will not get? I am interested in the new threading libs and the mq stuff, mostly. Thanks, Nuz |

The 2.6.7 kernel package in testing only contains the kernel, kernel config, and system map files. If you also install the kernel source, it presumably comes with all the normal documentation that a kernel source tree would come with. As far as man pages or other things go, nothing will change by installing those packages on your system, but it may be that the man pages already installed include the 2.6.7 kernel features, I'm not sure.
