No it does not make sense, as I cannot understand what you are saying. If
necessary, as in if you do not speak english as your primary language, post
in your own native language and we'll try to translate.

let me resay this

i put audio cable from CDROM to sound card (via sound card on bourd)
then XServer started to work really slow it takes 30 min to open up KDE
but everything else is working fine
console is fine
i checked all logs but i coundn't find anything wrong

my system is Slackware 9.0 with kernel 2.4.26 with lastes i2c drivers
mainboard is via based (i coundn't find anything buggy with via on this board)

ok, slightly better.

Did you try any other window managers, such as Xfce or Fluxbox, or Gnome?

As far as I know, KDE uses a sound daemon called arts, which (obviously)
uses the sound card and cable, and therefore a problem with the above
could concievably slow down KDE.

Sounds to me like you are plugging the sound cable into the wrong spot
somewhere. Do you have on board sound or is this a sound card? Are you
sure your not plugging it onto a jumper pair instead? I know the cables
for the cdrom's are small enough to do this. As a matter of fact I did
this and had about the same result your talking about.
