| i put Audio Cable and X Server started to suck a lot i mean it wa slow than win me ! i checked all the logs and other things but everything seemed fine no error msg or log (i checked X logs, too they were all the usual ones) does anybody have any idea ? after put out Audio cable everything got back to normal system is standart 9.0 with kernel 2.4.26 with lastest i2c drivers no other patch is added Ozan |

Did you try any other window managers, such as Xfce or Fluxbox, or Gnome? As far as I know, KDE uses a sound daemon called arts, which (obviously) uses the sound card and cable, and therefore a problem with the above could concievably slow down KDE. |

Do you have on board sound or is this a sound card? Are you sure your not plugging it onto a jumper pair instead? I know the cables for the cdrom's are small enough to do this.
