| I've decided to do a fresh install of slack 10 on my IBM T30 laptop. I had slack 9.1 before and everything was working fine. Since kernel 2.6.7 is included, I instaled that, but I have a problem. There is no sound. I can only hear sound when I install alsa driver package. I set sound levels with mixer, do alsactl store and everything is working. However, after reboot there is no sound and when I trie to run alsamixer I get the message that no mixer elements could be found. Any ideas? I don't think that reinstaling alsa driver at every boot is a good solution for this problem ;-) |
