| Confusion has crept in about libcap, jackit, and realtime-lsm. I'm running 2.6.8.1 with realtime-lsm module installed, with the correct kernel configuration, and libcap-1.10 (for the 2.4 kernels?) not currently installed. When running configure on jackit with --enable-capabilities, the error comes up that the libcap libs are not found. My questions are these. Since I'm running a 2.6 kernel, do I still need to install libcap so jackit can use? If I don't configure jackit with --enable-capabilities, will jack still be able to use realtime capabilities since I've got realtime-lsm? Is this just a situation in that jackit needs to be updated to "better" recognize realtime-lsm? I'm not a programmer so you'll have to give me some slack about my wording. No pun intended, I already have and use Slack. td |
