You may -- may! -- want to remove mod_ssl and PHP while you're at it (mod_ssl is there for Apache, do not remove the SSL package, PHP wants Apache to work, so you probably want to remove it too). Log in is root and cd /var/log/packages removepkg apache* mod_ssl* php* removepkg may tell you that it can't remove a directory because there are changed files in it; e.g., /etc/apache in this case, but you can safely cd /etc rm -r apache If you need to put them back, just insert and mount the CD-ROM and cd /mnt/cdrom/slackware/n installpkg apache*.tgz mod_ssl*.tgz php*.tgz That'll do it. |

I thought it only supported gzip. Just to clarify since I had troubles with this one myself. The manifesto on slacware 10 is called MANIFESTO.bz2 and is read with bzless Some other files are aperently comprezed with gzip and read bith zless and other textfiles are read with ordinary less When I used less or zless on the manifesto I only got grabage.
