| -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Top-posting shitheads earn a special spot in my killfile. In alt.os.linux.slackware, bw dared to utter, > After trying to find an answer to my question for hours, this answer was not > what I wanted. Tough shit. It's what you got. You posted a question to usenet and act as if you deserve an answer. You begged for a hand-out and then bitched about what you got. Don't you think that's a little fucked up? > Maybe I overreacted a bit but I dont agree that this answer > was 'right on the money'. No one asked if you agreed or not. > In that case we can skip posting/reading to > newsgroups alltogether. > If I have a question about Slackware should I post it directly to Pat > Volkerdink? That's Volkerding. And yes, you should, if all other slackware resources are exhauted (Pat is only one person after all), but Real Player has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Slackware. Posting is here is off-topic. You were pointed to a place that the discussion would be topical. And you bitched. Doesn't that make you feel like a big man? > If I have a question about, lets say, a D-link router I should post it > directly to D-link? Well, yes, you should. I wouldn't go asking about a D-Link router in a group composed of Cisco techs no more than I would a group of plumbers or Slackers. Is that so hard to understand? > If I dont have an answer I just don't bother to answer instead of posting a > useless answer. If you can't post to usenet without getting your pantied in a wad, don't post to Usenet. *PLONK* - -- It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, Than for a man to hear the song of fools. Then change the order and Firefox shouldn't be an issue. Mine has mozilla and netscape for the html in that order. That should do it one way. As to the realplayer thing. Not sure what the other posters are talking about because I downloaded real player from their website, and then installed it. |
