Default (OT) mkcdrec Slackware 10

I have installed mkcdrec on a Slackware 10 box running kernel 2.6.7. Mcdrec
installs and passes all the tests fine. I can make a backup cd and boot it
ok. But, I get the message: ''Can not find RAM disk device /dev/ram2
or /dev/rd2". I then get a root console, but none of the restore shell
scripts are available. This is a duel boot system with Linux from scratch
on another partition. Mkcdrec works fine when I boot into the LFS install,
so hardware is not the issue. Does anyone have any thoughts, questions or
comments about how to get mkcdrec working on Slackware?
