Hrm.....maybe try using "Linear" option in your lilo.conf may help get
rid of this annoying message. Read the man page on lilo.conf and look
for the disk option of "Linear".

unfortunatly option linear has some limitations (see man lilo.conf for
futher informations) and i'm not aware of them.... :-((

i'm sorry for the last answer (a friend wrote for me and he didn't
wrote what i told to him)
linear option for lilo has a limitation of 1024 cylindres (see man
lilo.conf) and my hd has more then 1024 cylindres...

i also saw i have this problem only with ide disks... no problems with
sata disks...
