| I would like to ask if anyone knows any recruitment agencies in the UK worth recommending which specialized in IT recruitment or if there is any better way of finding job in IT. At the moment I am c++ programmer working in derby but as I worked as a unix administrator before (in Poland) i do not really know how to find more appropriate job here. I have got Master of Science degree (with distinction) in databases and computer network from Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, Poland) If anyone could give me any advice I would be grateful. mike |

You may find some good leads by subscribing to this list: http://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/linuxjobs I found my current job on that list! You could also do the http://www.monster.co.uk route. I found the trick with that was to update your CV every Sunday night (even if it was just uploading the same version). I'd always have recruitment agencies calling me on Mondays. The only problem is that most of them just see a particular word or name on your CV (such as "Solaris") and they'll call you up about it. However, they failed to read the surrounding words which say that you have "some knowledge of" rather than "are the master of" Good luck. -- Stuart Winter www.interlude.org.uk & www.armedslack.org | "Washing machines live longer with Calgon" |
