Default xorg 6.8.1 -> GLIBC_2.3.4 not found

Hello,

I have upgraded xorg from the current slackware tree because my
videochip i915g is not supported in 6.7.0.

Now, when X start, it failed and said :
X: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3.4' not found (required by X)

I don't understand because the latest glibc version in current tree is
2.3.3.

Any ideas ?

The ChangeLog shows that glibc has been updated from CVS:
Mon Oct 11 23:41:16 PDT 2004
<cut>.
l/glibc-2.3.3-i486-2.tgz: Updated from CVS.

Maybe the CVS version identifies itself as version 2.3.4.

Instead of downloading and installing a precompiled binary you could also
download the source and compile it yourself. That was the way I installed
X.org on Slackware 9.1.
