Default Slackware 10.0 Public NFS Server

Hi

Since my laptop doesn't have a cd drive and is very old, i decided to
use slackware. Finally i made it through the floppy boot procedure but i
don't know any puplic NFS servers. My main computer lacks free space so
i can't use him a nfs server plus mandrake sucks (cause of a lot bugs in
server setting up)

You know any public nfs server where i can get the latest slackware?
Server adress in IP form preferred!

Nice weekend
and thanks in previous
greets
Ben

I don't know of any myself, but if you can't find any you might try mounting
your cd on some directory on your main computer, and serving that directory
via NFS. No hard drive space required.

Good luck,
Jeffrey

There's one NFS server listed on the Slackware mirrors page. (It has
recently been updated, so it's likely to work.) It's at: <ftp.linux.org.ve>

dig/nslookup says it's 150.188.8.196

Hi,
You may not need any space on your main computer.
If you can get Slack on CD, then you can NFS mount the main computer's CD
from your laptop
and then do the install..
I installed Slack10 and X on a CDless 500MB/32MB RAM Toshiba T2130CS laptop
using this technique.
