It wont matter much. Several minutes prior to this, the US
missile defense system, powered by "Microsft Server 2005-
Xtreme Edition SP1", will erroneously detonate all armed
land-based ICBMs in the US arsenal.

Isn't it obvious. Someone is manipulating the time continuum to avoid Omnius
and the thinking machines control of Earth and the resulting Butlerian Jihad
in which the Earth is totally destroyed. Sheesh, not sure what the confusion
is on something this simple.
