| When I attempt to upgrade anything with slackpkg, I get the following: --- You need the GPG key of Slackware Linux Project <security@slackware.com>. To download and install that key, run: # slackpkg update gpg You can disable GPG checking, too. But it isn't a good idea. To disable GPG, edit slackpkg.conf and add one line with NOGPG=1. You can see an example in slackpkg.conf.new. --- If I then run # slackpkg update gpg I see a successful download of gpg. However, any further attempts to upgrade anything at all is still greeted with the message that I need the GPG key of Slackware Linux Project. What might I be doing wrong? |

Try a different mirror and see what happens. |

I am interested in what version of Slackware are you running? Are there any slackware packages you did not install? Or stripped off? Other information like what mirrors you are using would be helpful. |

The only packages I don't install are emacs and kdei. > > Other information like what mirrors you are using would be helpful. I'm currently using (without gpg checking), the following: ftp://ftp.cs.stevens-tech.edu/pub/Li...kware-current/ I have also tried ftp://slackware.mirrors.pair.com/slackware-current/ |

If you are not using the available in slackware 10.0's /extra section then I suggest you do. |

I just installed Slackware 10 in my office (and Slackpkg found in Slackware 10 Extra) and it worked fine there. However, at home, where I have Slackware Current (and Slackpkg found in Slackware Current Extra), gpg stuff fails to work as outlined above. |
