KDE io-slave issue

I'm having an issue with KDE io-slaves. Specifically, I get this
message when I load up the Audio CD Browser from Konqueror:

An error occurred while loading audiocd:/:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_audiocd'.

This message appears regardless of the user I am logged in as.

I'm using Slackware 10 with KDE 3.2.3.
