My LiDE20 works fine with Slackware 10. I had problems getting it
to work with 9.1 but since I never sorted out what the problem was,
I suspect it was something I wasn't doing due to my inexperience with
USB and scanners.

My LIDE20 is working very well with 9.1 and XSane. I use an USB 2.0
interface, and this is the script to load the modules and mount the
scanner on /mnt:

#!/bin/bash
/sbin/insmod usbcore
/sbin/insmod usb-ohci
/sbin/insmod usb-storage
/sbin/insmod sd_mod
sleep 2
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt

No, LiDE 35 is close to LiDE 50. No one of those have any Linux
driver yet. But Lide 20 and LiDE 30 are both supported.
