Hi there,

in Slackware current with KDE 3.4 I get error when trying to preview a ttf
font:

/opt/kde/lib/libkfontinst.so.0: undefined symbol: FTC_SBit_Cache_Lookup

and when I try to start kfonview from a console:

kfontview: symbol lookup error: /opt/kde/lib/kde3/libkfontviewpart.so:
undefined symbol: _ZN3KFI9CFcEngineC1Ev

does anybody else have that problem? Any solutions?

I'm using -current with kde-3.4 and xorg-6.8.2 and kfontview is working ok.
Did you also install xorg from -current? You should!

Yes, I did. But I should mention that I already had these issues with KDE
3.3.2 (or what was the last one?). So, when it's working with your
installation I can exclude a buggy package. Which kde packages did you
install? The ones from kde.org, or those from linuxpackages.net?

I'm using KDE-3.4 packages from -current.
