So hot-swapping of components (CPU's, memory, sandwitches, black coffee) is normal for every one of us who happens to have more than one box and all of them performing in parallel. On some big machines individual system boards are hotplug so you can pull each board in turn, upgrade CPUs and memory, all without downtime. |
