Hi All,

Toshiba laptop (http://scatter.mine.nu/test/boxen/tosh/) CLI only
with vesafb 800x600.

On 2.4 series kernel LCD backlight is turned off when console blanks.

Same setup with 2.6.11.11 or 2.6.12-rc6 the console turns off but
LCD backlight left running. I tend to use the thing over ssh link
at home, so the lit-up but dead screen somewhat odd looking...

Any pointers for this? Is it user-space utility? The 2.6 kernel
LCD controls don't seem to do much, but I'm being lazy and hope
someone been there... Otherwise I'll have to RTFM, STFW and GAFC

No udev, hotplug running and properly starts cardbus NIC, all else
seems okay. Page above has more info on config, dmesg, lspci & so.
