Well, if you mean something other then like 'get attention (for talkback)'
with 'ping' query, you may want to clarify what you /do/ mean somewhat ...

Do you mean "how do you transfer messages from one lan to another by using
a PC with two network cards" ?

If so, the answer is
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
