Default k3b mp3 to audio cd on-the-fly question

Apperently the program can make audio cds from mp3s without converting
them to *wavs, mp3s are a compressed format, which an audio cd is not.
Does it create .wavs , places them on the cd, then deletes them from
your hd?
if you could create a audio cd from mp3s the advantage would be saving
harddisk space.

k3b seems to be only gui applications that can (or i am missing what it
actually does)make audio cd out of mp3s without converting to .wavs.

AFAIK, and I have done it, CD players can play mp3 straight off CD.

it depends how old or new the cd player is whether it can play mp3 cds.

k3b must utilise harddisk space when making a audio cd from mp3s, so it
can uncompress them for the audio cd.
