| Cant help associating Slackware 11, when it comes out, with the jingle of Oceans 11 and The Rat Pack. It sure would be a hot event if we could get a Banquet going at Bally's Las Vegas for November Comdex 2005 and the 12th anniversary of The Distro. Maybe we could get PV to attend, as the well deserved person to be honored at the get-together. At least it could be a great drunk nerdy event and get some press coverage as well, because of Comdex. Sure, maybe we can dig up Dino, Frank, Sammy and the rest and have a real time to remember. > > Maybe we could get PV to attend, as the well deserved person to be > honored at the get-together. I suspect you'd have more luck doing the above. ken |

And while you're at it, good luck with putting together Comdex 2005, as KeyMedia cancelled it this year as well. >> Maybe we could get PV to attend, as the well deserved person to be >> honored at the get-together. The PGP signature is something else, and obviously you're not smart enough to use PGP software to verify anything. Since you lack the braincells required, why not jump off of USENET, eh? - Mike |

The pgp signature is part of the signature. That's why they call it the pgp _signature._ If it was something else it wouldn't be called pgp _signature._ As for me being "smart enough" to use pgp, I used it for over a year as you would know if you weren't a helpless newbie. Pgp is easy to setup for most of us. Those of you who think it is difficult to setup consider it's use to be some kind of badge of honour. The rest of us know it as pretentious silliness from those who seek approval. cordially, as always, rm |

| Sorry, it's the first day for me here, but I think the subject is not about "signatures more than 4 lines longer". I was looking around for some info about the next Slackware version and look what I found, a couple of moroons that argue about stupid things. Open a new subject about this argue if you really need it. Sorry, but... bye, d. Realto Margarino wrote: > Michael B. Just about every thread that contains anything non-technical that unreasonable people can disagree on always deteriorates into dog-howling contest. Sahel, if you want info, go to the Linuxquestions.org Slack forum. If you want debate, flames, and to be insulted, stay and bay at the moon with the others in this pack of wild dogs. My bet is that Slackware 11 comes out in early Sept. with 2.6.12 and KDE 3.4 as 'standard'.... and I'll really go out on a limb and predict that P.V. incorporates a dependency-checking package manager into the distro proper (not extra) for the first time. In alt.os.linux.slackware, Sahel dared to utter, > Sorry, it's the first day for me here Welcome! > I was looking around for > some info about the next Slackware version No one really knows. 11.0 or 10.2 will be ready whenever it's ready, and my guess is we've got a long way to go. > look what I found, a > couple of moroons that argue about stupid things. Please don't judge this newsgroup by the quality nor quantity of rm's posts. A few quick links should be all that's needed to display how truelly deranged this person is. Some of his posting history here: http://tinyurl.com/create.php http://tinyurl.com/84glj http://tinyurl.com/8qcqs rm has been trolling usenet like this for more than a decade. Just look at the age on these posts: http://tinyurl.com/ds89a rm has many aliases, Roger Maynard being one of the most common. He's been hanging around here for two or three years now, just generally making a nuisance of himself. People like him are best ignored. I suggest you put him in your newsreader's scorefile so you aren't ever bothered with his posts. P.S. Note that he sometimes impersonates me, so if you see something posted by a +Alan Hicks+ and it doesn't sound like me, then odds are it wasn't me. - -- It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, Than for a man to hear the song of fools.
